As Academic Sessions run their Course, Talent Night is on the Horizon

The first week of academic sessions are drawing to close. Mentors have heard students discover new concepts from the fault element of mens rea in law to the depths of quantum physics.

Whilst the students are loving their academic sessions, we want to show them everything university life and Cambridge has to offer. This lunchtime, we were toured around the beautiful King’s College Chapel. The elegance of the stained glass windows were stunning, with both mentors and students enjoying the opportunity to take lots of snaps of the chapel!

However- it’s not just the students who get all the fun! St. Catharine’s college bar has been turned into our very own mentor dance studio. Alison, a Catz mentor, is loving the dance rehearsals choreographed by Sidney college manager, Reiss. Talent night is sure shaping up to be exciting!

We wrapped up by having an exuberant sports day organised by Murray and his megaphone, where the students blew off some steam by battling it out in ultimate frisbee, rounders and football. After dinner, there was a much-needed chance to relax at movie night- the girls were very pleased that the film was Legally Blonde, but we suspect the boys ended up enjoying it too!
