A Day of Croquet and Fine Dining

After tutorials, Immerse Education treated the students with the most quintessentially Cambridge day so far! Having finished their second tutorial of the day, students gathered outside the conservatory to be taken to one of three grassy destinations to play croquet, including the Backs, the Fellows Garden and the Lamas Land, an area just a short walk from a college.

With their pitches set up and the rules explained, teams of twos and threes competed against each other, playing this very British sport of mallets, balls and hoops.  There were shocking starts, impressive comebacks and close victories as everyone enjoyed playing.

Having some time to spare once back in college, the students dressed in their smart shirts and lovely dresses for a big group photograph by the Mathematical Bridge, before heading off to a formal dinner at Magdalene College. Students got the chance to have a wander round the grounds and courts of the college before heading into a beautiful 16th century dining hall to enjoy a three course, candlelit meal.

Students have got a lot to look forward to tomorrow, with some Rounders or Ultimate Frisbee to choose from to get the blood pumping!
