Thursday evening was an exciting event for the Immerse team – the British Youth Travel Awards are a great opportunity to hear about the latest developments in the world of youth travel and better still, we were finalists in two categories!
We’re Winners!
This was the 11th year of the awards which celebrate successes across this fast-paced and growing industry. I was therefore very pleasantly surprised to be announced as the winner of one of the categories! Winning the award for Rising Star in such a huge industry was simultaneously a great honour and very embarrassing – a classic British reaction. While it is lovely to be recognised for the work I’m doing, the kind words from the other competitors and the presence of several cameras was quite overwhelming. I was grateful for the support of my team and ultimately, my success would never have been possible without their incredible work.
Immerse is truly passionate about the education it provides and that the experience of each participant is exceptional. It’s no wonder we were finalists for Best Educational Product! Everyone in the team strives to deliver the best work that they possibly can and it creates a fantastic environment of support and innovation. I’m delighted to have won the Rising Star award but ultimately it’s a reflection of the team rather than my individual contributions.
Looking forward, Immerse continues to grow with new tech-programmes and exciting alumni opportunities on the horizon. I’m proud of how much we have achieved in 2018 and excited for the new developments in 2019!
