Our Alumni says

Living in a university college was quite an experience. We had so much fun feeling like college students, but most importantly, we learned that the environment created is so cozy, not only because of how Cambridge makes you feel at home but also because the people around made it feel special. Living in at an Oxbridge University College was magical, as if Professor Dumbledore had swished his wand and created a perfect Hogwarts just for you!

I decided to attend because I wanted to have a taste of what college life would feel like and wanted to further explore if psychology was the right path for me. I was lucky enough to find information about immerse due to previous contacts with my school and a lot of research. Everything seemed so amazing from the first glance at their website that I immediately fell in love and was ready to take on the challenge.

I enjoyed every single detail that was planned to perfection that made each lesson unique, entertaining, and dynamic. If I had to choose one thing i enjoyed most, I would choose working on my personal project because I could work on something that I was passionate about and get to know my teammates deeply. Through creating my psychological research, I was able to test my limits, push boundaries, and fall more in love with the psychology field. It was truly incredible.

Having the hands-on experience of creating our own research was extremely beneficial. I did the psychology programme and it was amazing to see how much I was capable of as I developed my personal project. I also feel that being able to make new friends, connect with them, and understand different perspectives from people of all cultures was extremely beneficial for my development as a person.

Immerseâ„¢ Psychology Sample Modules

To see how the programme is structured, view the Academic Insights timetable here.
  • Module 1 - An Introduction To Psychology

    An Introduction To Psychology
Psychology is surprisingly hard to define. Broadly speaking, it is the study of the mind and behaviour, yet this definition raises more questions than it answers. Psychologists study how we think, feel, and make decisions, as well as the unconscious processes and the neural mechanisms that underpin them.
  • Module 2 - Behavioural Genetics: Nature Vs. Nurture

    Behavioural Genetics: Nature Vs. Nurture
It is widely believed that psychological traits have a substantial genetic contribution. However, to what extent are they influenced by a person’s upbringing and social environment? In this module, you will see how advances in biotechnology have transformed the way we study behaviour and genes.
  • Module 3 - Cognitive Psychology: Seeing And Remembering

    Cognitive Psychology: Seeing And Remembering
We often think that our senses and memories reflect the truth, but a wealth of psychological research points in the opposite direction. In this module, you will see how our brains are sensitive to cognitive illusions, seeing things that aren't actually there, and missing things that are glaringly obvious.
  • Module 4 - Personal Project

    Personal Project
This is one of the most exciting parts of the course. In the module, you will get the opportunity to give a presentation on an area of interest in the psychology programme, engage in discussions with your peers, and receive important feedback from your tutor, an expert in the field of psychology.
